Christmas is a time to celebrate and
share love and joy with those around us. It is also a time for many to
enjoy a well-deserved rest. After a very busy few weeks here at Love
Kate’s I can finally enjoy a few moments to myself to reflect over the
last year and look forward to putting my feet up for a few days.
2021 was a year we pinned our hopes
on everything returning to normal after the unprecedented events of
2020. In a world where everything we knew was turned upside down, many
of us took time to evaluate the things and people most important to us.
Sitting here with a freshly boosted sore arm, it is clear we are not out
of the woods yet…
Back in 2020 Love Kate’s helped so
many people stay connected with each other through the simple act of
card sending. Our
‘Send A Smile’ campaign helped us feel closer to loved
ones we could not be with in person. Profits from our Healthcare
Heroes mugs raised £500 for the NHS. Sending simple messages and
virtual hugs inside greeting cards we all helped each other through
difficult times.
Throughout 2021 Love Kate’s has been
able to continue to offer a customer focussed shopping experience with
you, our customer, at the heart of everything we do. Our small team has
grown - just a little - to help us offer more cards and new gift ideas,
as well as providing our popular card
handwriting and gift-wrapping extras. Our Christmas cards for 2021
were our best selection ever and I was genuinely touched to read so many positive
reviews, many of which remarked upon our choice and quality of
cards. As ‘card buyer’ I’ll be ‘shopping’ for next year’s Christmas
cards in just a few weeks’ time – hopefully I’ll make popular choices
once again.
As Christmas is upon us, I’d like to
wish all our customers, old and new, the warmest wishes for a safe and
happy Christmas. Thank you for choosing Love Kate’s and for helping us
to continue to build our shop and community.
Looking forward to 2022 we will be
adding some amazing new ranges. Look out for more personalised
singing Birthday cards with more names for you to choose from. Our
best-selling Pop Up Cards will include all the ages for Birthday
milestone celebrations all the way up to 110 years old! New milestone
Anniversary Pop Up cards will be available for couples celebrating each
and every anniversary. Keep an eye too on our funny
cards, I have some hilarious new humour cards coming soon. As well
as freshening up your old favourites, like Quentin Blake and Rosie Made
A Thing, I promise to find the best greeting cards out there.
Finally, as we face more
uncertainty, we are relaunching our #SendASmile
campaign. We’ve carefully selected more cards and gifts to join our
‘Send A Smile’ collection to help us all wrap our virtual arms around
each other as we head into another year. Let’s beat the January blues
and show our support once more for each other. I would like to
encourage you all to send smiles in 2022. Perhaps this would be a great
New Year’s Resolution for us all?
