Festive Friday kicks-off Kate’s Christmas
In the Greetings Card Industry we’ve been getting ready for Christmas for quite a few months now and we’ve been busy gathering together what’s new in the world of cards and gifts for our customers and generally preparing ourselves for what’s the busiest and happiest time of year for Kate’s.
So let’s get all Christmassy and look forward to Festive Friday.
Festive Friday falls on the 27th November this year and it’s a big date for Kate. Nearly all the Christmas stock has arrived and is on the Love Kate’s online shop for customers already, and Christmas shopping has definitely started, but every year in the run up to the 1st December things go a little bit crazy. Maybe it’s because that’s the last pay-day before Santa comes? Not sure, but as December arrives it won’t be long before the Christmas tree’s up, the dates will be fixed for the party and the cards start rolling in.
So what’s Festive Friday all about?
Well, since 2013 The UK Greeting Card Association has encouraged card retailers like Kate’s to remind everyone before the mad rush starts in December to send their Christmas Cards. The idea is that if all of us can get our cards off on Festive Friday then that will help get the bauble rolling...
